Couple quick hitting thoughts on the issue:

- Love the subtle LGY numbering under the issue's #1. I'm sure it'll continue and I really appreciate that.
- Two page spread for the recap page was very cool looking
- Basic intro into the new volume prior to the recap page
- It felt very strange reading a Deadpool main title without Gerry Duggan writing it. Almost wrong.
- Klein's art is great for Deadpool
- Love the new lettering
- This is definitely geared towards movie-Pool (NTW, the way Wade speaks) even though it's been proven time and time again there's little translation between the two as far as sales go. But the jokes weren't bad.
- Not a bad start at all.

I won't be able to read it until next week probably, so having a non-spoilery review is kind of relieving. Thank you!

Same here. I’m out of town for two weeks so unless I go out of my way to find a copy while on the road I won’t get to read it for a bit.

I won't say it blew me out of the water, but it's a solid start for the new guys. I think you'll both enjoy it.

Really interested in what you guys thought of the first issue if you've had a chance to read it

I read it yesterday and was entering the forums now to post my impressions and I see your last message lol Synchrony!

More or less I second everything you posted back in the release day:

I liked the issue. The art is really, really good (Klein is a BEAST, in the best sense you can imagine, and Hepburn also gives). This part stands out a lot, but the dialogues and situations are also good, and the arc begins nicely. Regarding Wade's voice, I agree with you, it sounds like the film but it doesn't seem like a negative thing because Young manages it well.

Something that some reviewers have valued negatively is that a fairly large number of the main story is dedicated to other characters, but hey, it's part of the setup, after all. Guess they also read all the previews haha

Then, something about the back-up story bugs me, but otherwise I liked it in general.
Spoiler:
I find unsettling to see Wade orphaning a child, no matter how horrible his parents are... not sure if it feels like him. I thought maybe it was just for the sake of joking with Batman. Then again what happened was supposed to be 'real', so the uneasiness stayed. However, I liked that they're continuing that story, took me by surprise. I was seeing the backup as an add-on, nothing more.
P.D.: Long post. Sorry!!

To your spoiler tag.. I agree. That was pretty hardcore even for Wade.

Let's see how it turns out at the end. Maybe Skottie takes out his memory issues like Duggan... He will give some more context to the whole thing for sure.

By this moment, we have a new preview!:

And I won't be able to read it on-release again! T_T

According to the Diamond Distributors' Sales Rank, #1 was the seventh most shipped comic book of the past month, and the third one in terms of dollars invoiced.

Did you read #2? Any thoughts, positive/negative? Thanks! :)

It was alright. Nothing memorable. I'm still trying to get a read on this volume. It definitely sounds like movie Deadpool when you read it.
