Came across this, thought it was interesting.

Df Bad Ass #1 Homage Variant Signed & Remarked Haeser Comic Book is an Urban Collector pre-order. If Kick-Ass and Deadpool had a baby, it would be Bad Ass! The only difference being that Dead End is a villain through and through with no intentions of serving anyone. What makes Dead End so great is his self-aware humor and biting sarcasm- the mark of a true evil genius. Hard to hate and even harder to kill, Dead End is an eloquent psychopath who fights for something better than justice: himself. This rare re-order cover sports a stunning 'homage' cover, in honor of New Mutants #98 in which DEADPOOL first appeared!!!

I picked this up just because of that cover and thought the story was pretty good. Just finished issue two of four and it was better than the first. Definitely a fun read.

There's another homage cover for issue 3 which resembles the first appearance of cable.
