So for this reason there are blank comics? And you all are so lucky to have this sketch cover! How I wish to have some!

I want ask you which type of paper that Blank Covers have? Because my girlfriend wants draw me one cover, but she wants use Copic Marker (http://store.copicmarker.com/pages/products-markers), so I want know, if it is good marker or there is better markers/paints/other ways? Thanks.

It's funny this sketch is the only one that's gotten a compliment from the people who work for CGC.

What I like about it is that it goes against Mike's reputation for being an artist that works on "serious" comics. When you actually talk to him, he's quite funny!

First off, I am not an artist. Nor do I play one on TV.

From what I hear, Marvel doesn't use the same paper for every blank cover. Because of that, it's a crap shoot as to what works best on each of the blank covers.

I do remember Clay Mann saying that the X-Men #1 blank cover is his favorite one to work on. He didn't seem super pleased with the way the sketch that I previously posted came out. He even said to me sheepishly, "Is that OK?"

Other people have mentioned that some of the blank covers are "too slick". And still others test the covers to see how they take ink and whether the ink bleeds when it's applied to the cover. I guess you have to experiment.
