Guardians of the Galaxy

Postby DeadpoolFool » Fri Aug 01, 2014 11:23 pm

So Guardians of the Galaxy has finally come out. Many claimed it was Marvel's riskiest film yet and by the looks of things, it's about to pay off. It's expected to earn 70 million domestically, which is 20 million more than originally guessed. It's received critical praise, with a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. So now I gotta ask all you pool fans out there who've seen it......what did you think?

I personally liked it a lot. It didn't surpass my expectations, but it certainly satisfied them. It was the perfect fun, entertaining film that didn't shy away from showcasing a bit of heart....without taking itself too seriously.

I thought it was a lot of fun. Definitely the funniest of the Marvel films so far. Bradley Cooper voicing Rocket did an incredible job. I'd been rooting for Dave Bautista to do well and he really did. It's really tough to compare this to Days of Future Past, since they both came out this year, because although they're both comic adaptations, that's just about where the similarities end.

I think my exact (loud) words during the end credits scene were, "Are you KIDDING me?!"

Just saw it today and loved it! I loved Groot and each time I saw him, I was full of "aww's." But yeah, it was a great, fun, feel good film. :D

Great part of the movie: Rocket understanding Groot's "I am Groot" lines as actual dialog, and then replying to them ("Yes, I know that's better than 11%!") Just like Han and Chewie's conversations.
